The 36th Carnival of Homeschooling is now up

The 36th Carnival of Homeschooling is up at Why Homeschool.

Stop by and check out what others in the homeschool blogging community have to say this week. The theme is Labor Day.

That reminds me of a funny Labor Day story. On Friday, I did a little lesson on Labor Day using the materials on About Homeschool. I told them the story of Peter McGuire and how bad the factory conditions were at that time.

After we were finished, one of the boys asked, “Why do people get the day off?”

The other added, “Yeah. It would make more sense if they had to work a 12 hour day in a factory to see how good they have it!”

That’s not exactly what I expected them to get from the lesson!
