In the early part of this year, Little E was diagnosed with asthma. It only acts up when he has a cold and, so far, has not been too serious. It has always responded to the medicine in the inhaler. Although, it is still very scary when he can’t breathe.
One thing that is kind of a hassle, though, is that we need to bring his inhaler with us wherever we go in case he needs it. And it’s not just one of those little inhalers, he has a spacer, too.
I have this little Vera Bradley handbag called a Teeny Paddy, with a matching change purse.

The inhaler fits right inside the change purse.

And both the inhaler and the spacer fit inside the bag.

So now, Little E has a designer inhaler kit by Vera Bradley.
Fortunately, he is still at an age where he does not mind carrying around a pretty purse.

I have to point out that he struck this pose without any prompting. He is a little ham.
This is a great idea… for my son – only 7; we use a small “Go Diego” backpack that he carries his inhaler/spacer in. So – when the purse doesn’t work any longer – check out SMALL back-pack!
That’s a good idea. I was thinking about making him a bag when he doesn’t want to use the purse any more, but I will have to keep my eye out for a small backpack.
